First Grade

Wednesday was Madison's first day of first grade. I'm still not really sure what happened to the summer. It seems that it came and went all too fast. With record breaking heat and a record number of days above ninety degrees, we spent a lot of time either at the pool or inside with the air conditioning.
I thought I'd share a few pictures of her first day.

The lining ripped in last year's book bag so she got a new book bag for the new school year.

Luckily, the lunch bags were free with the purchase of a book bag so she got a new lunch bag too.

Our neighbor's girl started Kindergarten so Madison was a good friend and "showed her the ropes."
