Snow Storm 2K9

We were supposed to travel to NC this weekend to have Christmas with Poppaw Hicks, Uncle Kevin, and Raven. Mother nature had other plans. Thursday, the forecast began to predict a potentially "large" winter storm heading our way. We decided to reschedule our trip and boy are we glad we did. Here is what our deck looks like right now. We won't be grilling out tonight.

Nor will we be eating dinner on our patio table.

The kids had a blast in the snow!!


Our wonderful friends with 4 wheel drive came over and helped us shovel our driveway.

This picture was taken BEFORE it stopped snowing and measures 18inches. Forecasters are predicting that we'll get over 2 feet before it's over.

This was about as far as Julia could get - the snow was up to her chest!!!


This is certainly a snow storm to remember!!!
